- What is HammyDown.net?
HammyDown.net is all about having fun and winning free junk. It's simple really. Once you register (which is free), you can start playing. On the main page is a prize. Usually, this prize is something used but of value. Anyone who is registered can win this prize by answering the question correctly that is listed with the prize. Each member has 5 chances to answer the question correctly. If you answer the question corretly, you will be sent the prize to your mailing address attatched to your account. Another prize will now be listed with a new question/answer.
- What kind of junk can I win?
All kinds of junk! Sometimes, the prize will be something ridiculous like half of a pack of can drinks. sometimes, the prize will be a univeral remote that has never been used. Sometimes, the price will be something like a working, used all-in-one injet printer. Sometimes, the prize will be a mystery bag full of who knows what. Sometimes........okay, enough? So basically, no matter how crappy the prize is, someone still has to win it to get the the next prize which could be very valuable.
- How do I play?
It's simple to play. You can get into the action within seconds. Simply go to the registration page of the site and make an account. 1 account per person, per household. Free email accounts (@yahoo.com, @gmail.com, @hotmail.com) are not allowed. Once you have registered and logged in, you may now go to the main page and start trying to win the current prize.
- Are there any rules?
Yes. There are some rules. While us pigs generally have faith in the humans, there are times when I don't trust you. To help prevent people from registering more than once, I have implemented some security measures to help prevent multiple registrations. To avoid being permanently banned from the site (and all the fun and free stuff), just remember to play fair. You may only have one account. If you try to make more than one, you will be caught, outed, and banned. Another rule is to play nice in the discussion part of the site. I encourage everyone to have fun. I will ban accounts that use hatred, start flame wars, post inappropriate content, etc. There is a system that rewards our member's who don't cheat and that participate in the discussions. There will be a prize center in the future. Points earned will be able to be cashed in for prizes. Points will be rewarded for post totals in the forum. Basically, if you've been an ideal member who posts something useful, witty, and on-topic for each item, you'll be rewarded for your time spent here.
- Why is all this free?
Because everybody loves free, right? You'll notice some advertising throughout the site. We're hoping to make a few bucks from that. In the future, there are going to be premium options that member's can pay for. For instance, buying extra answer credits. Buying an item instead of guessing to win it will be an option in the future. Sponsored items will also be given away on the site as well.
